I had just about given up on losing weight when I saw the Lindora infomercial on television one night, recalls Mare, who lives in Corona. I had essentially resigned myself to living life as an overweight person. But I watched the program anyway, and when it ended, I thought, That looks like something I might be able to do. It certainly was. Mare lost a remarkable 115 pounds in just 11 months on Lindoras atHome and Lean for Life Online programsand has kept it off for more than a year! When nationally syndicated television reporter Kurt Knudsen decided to interview Lindora president Cynthia Stamper Graff for a technology segment about online weight loss programs, Cynthia suggested he also interview Mare, who knew firsthand how transforming such programs could be. On February 4, Knudsenbetter known to millions of television viewers as Kurt the Cyber Guybroadcast a wonderful segment featuring Cynthia and Mare on the KTLA Channel 5 Morning News in Los Angeles and on other stations throughout the United States. It feels like a dream come true, says Mare. My life has improved in every possible way. I like how I look and I love how I feel. Even though Ive been at my goal weight for a year now, it seems like I still get positive reinforcement every day. One of my neighbors, who I hadnt seen for a long time, told me she thought my husband had gotten a new wife. In many ways, I would say he has. Mare says that while she looks and feels better than she has in many years, enhanced health has proven to be the greatest benefit of the Lean for Life program. My father urged me to lose weight for many years, she recalls. He lived with diabetes and was concerned that it would become an issue in my life, too. He was so proud of me when I achieved my weight goal. He passed away last year, and it means so much to me that he saw me succeed and that he knew I had taken significant steps toward improving my own health. Taking control of my weight has been a very life-affirming experience. |
